National Federation Of The Blind Maharashtra

Appeal

We wish to introduce The National Federation of the Blind (NFBM) as a unique cause-oriented organization committed to improving the quality of life of the visually challenged people.

The NFBM has promoted the Jagriti School for blind girls at Alandi, Pune. This Pioneering school project aims at serving the deserving visually challenged girls belonging to rural areas. The School currently provides education to 110 girls. This school is partially aided by government of Maharashtra. The school receives grants only for forty girls amounting to Rs 5,000.00 per annum per child. The other students get no aid from the government. Hence, we have to mobilize resources for meeting the day today requirements of the school.

Moreover, we have also setup a scholarship endowment fund, which provides financial assistance to the needy and deserving students. NFBM believes in achieving equal status for the visually impaired persons (VIPs) through good education, employment generation and entrepreneurship development.

It is in this context that we appeal to you to exercise your generosity by donating to our noble mission. This we assure you, will go a long way in converting our dreams into a realizable vision. (All Donations to NFBM are exempt under section 80-G of the Income Tax act and are entitled to avail 50% tax exemption).
